The artist

About Gordon

Gordon seated beside a large anatomical drawing, holding a glass.
Gordon, alongside his work.

The steel sculptures are made from steel bars and or thick steel wire.

The process (which I have worked on for a number of years) is to use the arc welder as a modelling tool  to do the torso. "Acrobat" &" Hoola Hoopa" are clear examples of the arc welded process. Fingers and toes are added with an oxy acetylene welder.

The human form offers a constant challenge for me (which I really enjoy) & I believe an always accessible form of communication between the artist & those who show an interest .

I can express (explore) joy , fear, anger etc  the full extent of human emotion and physicality which is where I'm headed.

Put on a black scivy, grab a glass of red, give someone a double air kiss and Look in and Share the journey, leave me some comments I'd love to hear from you.

Cheers Gordon
